Position: Corporate Grower – Leafy Greens

M&F Talent is representing a large-scale hydroponic greenhouse company seeking an experienced Corporate Grower to provide technical and operational leadership for commercial leafy greens production. This position will help drive crop performance, production consistency, and continuous improvement across the organization’s controlled environment agriculture (CEA) operations.

The Corporate Grower will oversee and optimize growing protocols related to plant nutrition, irrigation, climate, lighting, crop scheduling, and plant health while working closely with cultivation, operations, facilities, and leadership teams. The position will also play an important role in developing cultivation standards, training growing teams, monitoring production KPIs, and implementing scalable best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for commercial hydroponic crop production.
• Develop, maintain, and continuously improve cultivation protocols, SOPs, and production standards.
• Manage and optimize crop plans, production schedules, and cultivation strategies to support yield, quality, and customer demand.
• Monitor crop performance and identify opportunities to improve yield, consistency, quality, and production efficiency.
• Oversee hydroponic cultivation procedures, including nutrient management, irrigation, fertigation, pH, EC, and water quality.
• Develop and refine environmental strategies related to temperature, humidity, lighting, airflow, irrigation, and other critical growing parameters.
• Analyze production data and crop KPIs to identify trends, troubleshoot challenges, and recommend operational improvements.
• Collaborate with operations, facilities, engineering, and other departments to optimize greenhouse systems and equipment performance.
• Establish consistent cultivation practices and ensure adherence to company standards for crop quality and production.
• Train, mentor, and develop growers and cultivation team members on plant science, production protocols, and CEA best practices.
• Provide technical guidance on smart growing technologies, environmental control systems, horticultural lighting, fertigation equipment, and other greenhouse technologies.
• Support troubleshooting of crop health, nutrient, climate, irrigation, pest, disease, and equipment-related challenges.
• Partner with facilities teams to ensure cultivation equipment is properly maintained, documented, and performing according to production requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Plant Science, Horticulture, Controlled Environment Agriculture, Agronomy, or a related field strongly preferred.
• 5–10+ years of commercial greenhouse or controlled environment agriculture experience, including significant leadership or management responsibility.
• Demonstrated experience managing and developing growers, cultivation teams, or other technical personnel.
• Strong understanding of plant nutrition, irrigation, fertigation, pH, EC, water quality, climate management, and crop steering.
• Advanced knowledge of horticultural lighting, environmental controls, greenhouse automation, and smart growing technologies.
• Experience working with commercial climate control and greenhouse management software.
• Strong understanding of production planning, crop scheduling, yield forecasting, and cultivation KPIs.
• Experience developing SOPs, production standards, and scalable cultivation processes.
• Experience with commercial leafy greens production strongly preferred; candidates with significant experience in tomatoes, cucumbers, strawberries, vine crops, or other intensive greenhouse crops will also be considered.
• Ability to work collaboratively across cultivation, operations, facilities, engineering, and senior leadership teams.
• Availability to travel.
