Technical Sales Rep – Soils & Amendments

M&F Talent has a client in next-generation soil products who is looking to hire a Technical Sales Rep in the eastern United States. Our client manufactures high-quality soil products for commercial producers in the Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) and cannabis industries.

Our client is looking for a knowledgeable, passionate, and results-driven individual to join their sales and support team on a full-time basis. The Technical Sales Rep will sell directly to commercial cultivators using a consultative sales process. They will also provide technical support and excellent customer service.

This is a unique opportunity to join a blossoming company with highly experienced leadership and serious growth potential.

Location: NY, NJ, PA

Responsibilities:

  • Promote and sell soil products to commercial cultivators.technical sales rep
  • Prospect, qualify, and close new customers using a wide range of techniques and processes.
  • Arrange, implement, and manage cultivator trials of products, including providing technical support to ensure success.
  • Frequent travel, including: visiting cultivators, attend trade shows and industry events, build relationships and monitor customer success.
  • Provide technical support and help customers solve problems and successfully use products.
  • Maintain database of potential and existing customers in timely and accurate fashion, including recording all attempted and successful customer interactions.
  • Manage reorders and support for existing customer base.
  • Utilize any available resources to reach out to prospects and attempt to turn those prospects into customers.
  • Support any additional processes and procedures related to the successful execution of your duties.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge in cannabis growing systems and methods (or) general commercial horticulture, especially growing media and related products.
  • Prior sales experience related to agricultural/horticultural products.
  • Candidates with an existing network of professional cultivators are strongly preferred.
  • Outgoing personality in order to connect with potential customers, educate professionals and expand brand awareness.
  • Comfort with basic technology and productivity skills such as Office suites and CRM’s.
  • Superior customer service skills.
  • Highly organized and detailed oriented.
  • Current driver’s license with clean DMV record and reliable transportation.
  • Computer/technology/CRM literate.
