Technical Field Service Engineer

M&F Talent has a client who is a global leader in the sustainable agri-food sector that is looking to hire a new Technical Field Service Engineer. This person will be stationed on the West Coast of the United States.

As a major player in the international horticultural sector, they create technical solutions that help growers produce food and flowers more sustainably. They are an innovative family business that is ready with the knowledge and expertise of their 350 employees, anywhere in the world.

Location: West Coast U.S.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the proper functioning/improvement of various automated equipment within greenhouses.
  • Conduct electrical installations in greenhouses and CEA facilities in the field.
  • Install and troubleshoot water treatment units, process automation or measurement and control system technology.
  • Work at an office as well as customer locations in the field.
  • Install and troubleshoot hardware/software for climate control, irrigation and energy management systems.
  • Communicate with customers about the best ways to use clients’ technology and help them fix problems when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a similar field of study (additional education in automation, industrial networks, or control systems technology a plus).
  • Familiarity with the horticultural sector and/or have an affinity with food & flower production is desirable.
  • Customer-friendly; you enjoy helping customers find the most efficient and sustainable solutions.
  • Improvisational ability, flexible, thorough, meticulous, clean and accurate work.
  • Ability to travel internationally, and also work additional hours on a job, as needed.
