Staff Accountant – CEA Producer

The Staff Accountant will play a vital role in maintaining the financial health of our client by managing general ledger entries, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• Process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions.
• Support the preparation of tax returns and audits.
• Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reports.
• Monitor cash flow and prepare bank reconciliations.
• Identify and implement process improvements for financial operations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 2-3 years of accounting experience.
• Experience in the agriculture or food production industry is a plus.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
• Familiarity with ERP systems.
• Knowledge of payroll and tax regulations.
