Senior Director of Marketing Strategy – HVAC/CEA

M&F Talent has a client who is a leader in HVAC solutions in the Controlled Environmental Agriculture (CEA) market. They need to hire a new Senior Director of Marketing Strategy to help improve their position in the industry.

Our client’s mission is to help growers by providing reliable, high-quality, efficient HVAC solutions to drive productivity and yield. The Senior Director of Marketing Strategy will step in and advise the current marketing team on new strategies to capture more commercial and retail CEA accounts.

Location: Madison, WI / Midwest

Responsibilities:

• Identifies, develops, and drives high return-on-marketing activities that improve the market position of market-leading HVAC/CEA products.
• Supports the development and execution of a go-to-market strategy that drives the business’s overarching commercial aims and is rooted in a segmented view of the marketplace.
• Identifies and analyzes existing and adjacent markets, and new opportunities.
• Drives cross-functional sales and commercial initiatives across brands and entities to expand share, and improve positioning with industry stakeholders.
• Communicate the function’s strategy and its relationship to the organization’s mission, vision and values.
• Clarify the actions needed to implement change within the area of responsibility.
• Build a business and marketing plan, while giving more direction to the marketing department.
• Lead projects and cross-functional teams from start to finish.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of deep experience in marketing, sales, service commercial strategy, and/or commercial transformation.
• Experience scaling industrial B2B business with an entrepreneur’s approach.
• Relevant industry experience in the CEA and/or hydroponic markets (preferred).
• HVAC / refrigeration product experience (preferred).
• Bachelor’s Degree with an MBA or graduate degree (preferred).
• Strong management skills and demonstrated ability to identify and overcome roadblocks.
• Comfortable with ambiguity, successful problem solver; uses creative tactics to establish solutions to commercial problems; excellent communication skills.
• Entrepreneurial spirit with a bias for action and willingness to learn; strong desire to expand in responsibility and grow in one’s career.
• Willingness to travel on an as-needed basis.
