Regional Sales Manager – Hort Supplies (SE US)
M&F Talent has a client who needs to hire a Regional Sales Manager with experience in the horticulture industry for the Southeastern USA. This person thoroughly understands customer needs, is fluent in the language of the horticulture industry, develops lasting relationships, and provides intelligent solutions to customers. The Regional Sales Manager’s primary function is to generate profitable top-line sales revenue and satisfied customers.

Salary: $100K
Key Responsibilities:
- Present value proposition to dealers and customers.
- Conduct facility visits to identify opportunities.
- Close sales using a consultative approach.
- Ensure regional performance aligns with company goals.
- Monitor market trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure their needs influence product development.
- Participate in contract negotiations and sales reviews.
- Document customer requirements in the CRM.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support sales.
- Bring products to customers through different distribution channels.
- Originate new customer relationships through prospecting (cold calling), lead follow-up, networking, referrals, and face-to-face meetings.
- Provide existing customer contact and support.
Requirements:
- Minimum of a BA in engineering, horticulture, or related field.
- Horticulture industry-related experience.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and strategic thinking skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and communicate effectively.
- Ability to travel 50% of the time.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
