Manager of Sales & Service – AgriTech

M&F Talent has a client in the agritech field that is looking to hire a new Manager of Sales & Service. Our client is a major player in the international horticultural sector – they create technical solutions that help growers produce food and flowers more sustainably.

Our client’s products include integrated control systems used in commercial-scale greenhouses: climate control systems, climate screens, CO2, dissolved oxygen, irrigation systems, and related mechanical and electrical systems.

The Manager of Sales & Service will report directly to the General Manager of North America. Their key responsibility is to manage the Customer Service department in North America: the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Location: Cleveland, OH

Responsibilities:

  • Manage back-office operations, including people and process development.Manager of Sales & Service
  • Oversee Customer Service operations that include: order support, technical sales support, service support, project delivery, sales & service administration, purchasing, warehousing, logistics, and training.
  • Drive further organization and professionalism of the back-office processes & tools while building and maintaining an environment of teamwork.
  • Align the team’s interests with customers’ interests and our corporate values, goals, and objectives.
  • Facilitate cooperation with other departments and stakeholders and lead by example.
  • Serve as a liaison within a global corporation, maintaining communication between countries
  • Apply process improvement in your work, and continuous improvements are an essential part of your work that you practice every day.
  • Monitor the quality of work of your department, in which you regularly communicate and coordinate with colleagues and customers to improve business.

Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in related field preferred (eg. Industrial Engineering, or related tech field).
  • At least 5 years of working experience in a similar position, preferably in a technical B2B environment.
  • Experienced in working with KPIs and in providing structure to internal departments serving clients.
  • Experience making an impact and getting things done.
  • As a leader, you empower your team and help them to grow and develop.
  • You know how to inspire, motivate and hold team members accountable.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, proactive and self-driven.
