Inside Sales Manager – Horticulture Solutions
M&F Talent is representing a global provider of plant propagation and growing solutions that is seeking an Inside Sales Manager to lead and develop its inside sales function across a defined territory. This role will oversee day-to-day sales execution, support strategic account growth, and drive performance across a portfolio of customers while providing technical and commercial guidance to growers and distribution partners.
- Location: Remote/Territory Based (Must work PST hours)
- Employment type: Full-time
- Salary: $65K-$75K (Plus OTE bonus structure) – Varies with location/cost of living
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support inside sales activities across the assigned territory, ensuring alignment with regional revenue and margin targets.
- Manage and grow relationships with key customers while identifying and developing new business opportunities.
- Coach and support inside sales representatives (if applicable), driving performance, accountability, and sales execution.
- Execute and refine sales plans, including forecasting, pipeline management, and territory development strategies.
- Provide commercial and technical guidance to growers, distributors, and partners on plant propagation systems and solutions.
- Monitor and report on sales performance, customer activity, and pipeline health using CRM systems.
- Coordinate closely with customer service, production, and logistics teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment and customer experience.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform sales strategy and positioning.
- Drive lead generation initiatives through outbound communication, digital engagement, and industry outreach.
- Support key account initiatives by collaborating with field sales and account management teams.
- Participate in trade shows, customer visits, and industry events as needed.
- Resolve customer issues proactively while maintaining a high level of service and long-term relationship development.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Agriculture, Horticulture, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience in inside sales, sales management, or a related commercial leadership role.
- Background or exposure to horticulture, agriculture, or plant-based production systems preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage sales pipelines, forecasts, and customer portfolios.
- Experience leading or mentoring sales teams is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical product information into customer-focused solutions.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and sales analytics tools.
- Results-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and operate independently in a remote environment.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus, depending on territory.
