Greenhouse Construction Manager

M&F Talent has a client in the greenhouse design and build space that needs to hire a new Construction Manager. This individual should be a hardworking, committed leader of a construction/installation team who works together to achieve customer expectations and project timelines.

Our client has been in the business of building and renovating greenhouses for the past 25 years. They have a strong footprint in Canada and are expanding into the U.S. market. The Construction Manager and US team will have the full support and expertise in all facets of the business.

• Location: Remote / Travel
• Employment-Type: Full-Time
• Salary: $60-$65K

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead the construction crew to ensure timelines and quality expectations are met.
• Work alongside construction/shading crew to perform project requirements.
• Problems that arise are assessed and resolved efficiently and cost-effectively reaching out to Management when required.
• Regular project updates are provided to minimize delays and/or resolve issues promptly.
• All crew members on site are trained and certified as required for health and safety compliance.
• Daily schedules, daily walk-arounds, work hours/progress, production, and other reports are prepared and submitted as required.
• Drawings are accurately read and interpreted to ensure build is done to specifications.
• Trades are collaborated with to ensure all aspects of work is completed as planned.
• Material shortfalls are reported immediately to avoid delays.
• Communication is clear, concise, and timely on-site and with team members.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience with the construction of greenhouses structure/shading systems.
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in supervising or managing a team.
• Extremely trustworthy and self-motivated to achieve desired results.
• Demonstrated critical thinking, time management, communication, and effective leadership skills.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and know when to question aspects that may not work on site.
• Proficient in English with good communication skills in Spanish as well.
• Able to be away from home for extended periods of time.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to lift 100 lbs.
• Working at Heights and other construction certifications (Provided by company if needed).
