Director of Sales – Hort Lighting

Mac & Fulton Talent Partners has a client in the field of horticultural lighting that is looking to hire a new Director of Sales. This will be responsible for sourcing new customers and projects around the country. The Director of Sales will also work closely with the inside team to ensure stability and prominence in the lighting supply space.director of sales

This person will be closely involved throughout the process to help move our company forward through creative and technical improvements. Our client is looking for candidates that are passionate about lighting, teamwork, and growth while demonstrating a solid sales and relationship-building background. The Director of Sales will play a key role in growing the network and footprint of our client’s business throughout the country.

Location: Denver, CO

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate and build relationships with owners, growers, and contractors.
  • Forecast and develop monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas for markets while projecting expected sales volume and profit for products.
  • Identify needs and trends in the industry and collaborate with the internal team to ensure the proposed material will fit the needs of the customer.
  • Monitor costs, competition, supply, and demand to adapt to market needs to remain competitive and profitable.
  • Frequent travel is required, as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • BA Degree in Business or similar (preferred).
  • 5+ years of work experience, in the horticultural and/or cannabis industry, preferably sales.
  • Proven track record of positive sales record.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills—communicating effectively with co-workers, superiors, outside vendors, and others sufficiently to exchange or convey information.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and customer expectations, often with competing deadlines.
  • Software (Preferred): Bluebeam, Netsuite, and Microsoft Office Applications.
