Business Development Manager – Cannabis Lighting

Mac & Fulton Talent Partners has a client who is an integrated global manufacturer of LED lighting products. They utilize cutting-edge technology to provide their global customers with cost-effective and competitive customer-tailored solutions. Our client is looking to hire a new Business Development Manager to work within the cannabis industry.

M&F Talent’s client has built a broad patent portfolio of technology that simplifies the challenges of integrating LED technology into the increasingly complex lighting infrastructure. The company is well-positioned for further growth with its excellent in-house R&D and production capabilities that span across the entire lighting value chain, from light sources to intelligent light management systems.

Location: U.S. / Remote


  • Identify and close new prospects as well as leveraging and developing existing client development manager
  • Work closely with the Global Sales Directors who ensure the highest client satisfaction ratings and delivery of superior work product.
  • Collaborate on developing and executing key marketing strategies for the Cannabis market.
  • Develop relationships both with existing clients and new prospects.
  • Forecast and manage the sales pipeline.
  • Drive and execute sales goals.
  • Develop and execute business plans for key Cannabis accounts.
  • Work with commercial cannabis growers and distributors of hydroponics equipment.


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least five years of proven success in a sales role.
  • Cannabis industry experience and cultivation lighting experience a must.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the Cannabis industry by keeping up with industry trends and laws.
  • Superb written and oral communication skills.
  • Proven success in sales presentations to a wide range of audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent research skills.
  • Strategic sales approach including the ability to overcome obstacles.
  • Adept at working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Experience with RFP, RFI, and RFQs.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.
  • Dynamic interpersonal skills including the ability to collaborate internally and externally.
