Business Data Analyst
M&F Talent has a client in cannabis extracts that is looking to hire a new Business Data Analyst. This role will focus on data analysis to drive business decisions. The initial focus will be on sales analysis with later work to entail varying projects within operations. The Business Data Analyst role requires a bright system-savvy individual with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
This individual will act as a broad resource to the team for data retrieval, customer and industry research, and cross-functional communication. This role will also assist with day-to-day technology and systems support. To be successful in the Business Data Analyst role you’ll be able to ensure data is validated, flowing between systems correctly, and explore opportunities to leverage new data sets to improve and influence a data-driven approach.
Location: Boulder, CO
Responsibilities:
- Own the product-specific reporting, data analysis/visualization, and communicate the insights to various stakeholders to aid strategic decisions for improvements in support of overall growth.
- Key deliverables will be: actionable reports, dynamic dashboards, metrics for the management team, and ad hoc project analysis.
- Produce daily, weekly, and monthly reports and recommendations for performance and process improvement.
- Build analytics, KPIs, and business processes, and use performance insights to drive improvements.
- Perform reporting and analysis, bringing insights to the sales team.
- Establish tracking and analysis of key sales and marketing metrics, continuously perform analysis that provides key insights that will move the needle. Understanding of our market across our different products, ability to perform ad hoc analysis requests.
- Verify and ensure data integrity and accuracy within Dynamics NAV, CRM system, and BI tools.
- Assist as a key business process owner, in IT system development.
- Provide recommendations on expansion opportunities to expand reporting programs and campaigns, collaborate and support their goals through reporting and insights.
- Support team technology needs, reset passwords, set up new employees in systems.
- Other projects and duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- College degree preferred, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years working experience
- 1 -2 years’ experience in a data analysis role
- Must be able to maintain MED badge
- Must have a reliable form of transportation
- Advanced Excel and data analysis experience (can build and maintain complex spreadsheets)
- Strong data analysis background
- Experience with Dynamics NAV, and Jet Analytics a plus (preferred)
- A minimum of one year of experience working in a financial or operational analysis position (preferred)
- Highly organized with a focus on execution, problem-solving, and improving processes
- Can think critically and adapt quickly in a flexible environment.
- Ability to quickly learn new technical components and being able to generalize standard methodologies from experience for use in a new environment.
- Will excel in an independent work environment while also advancing issues and concerns when needed.
- Able to write reports, business correspondence, procedure manuals, and prepare presentations and proposals with careful attention to grammar, spelling, and style with the audience in mind.
- Ability to effectively present qualitative and quantitative information and respond to questions from managers, employees, and coworkers.
- Can solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in dynamic situations.
- View issues and concerns from multiple perspectives while keeping the ‘big picture’ in focus. Understands business implications of actions and decisions.
