Account Manager – Cannabis Growing Media

M&F Talent has a client that is a leader in the professional and commercial horticulture markets that is looking to expand their team. They are seeking a driven and results-oriented Account Manager to join their sales team in the exciting world of cannabis-growing media! The Account Manager will play a pivotal role in developing and managing key accounts, fostering strong relationships, and driving significant sales growth.

Our client has an international production and distribution network, they provide their customers with superior-quality products so they can help feed, protect, and improve our world. This is a great opportunity for a well-established horticultural supply company.

  • Location: Eastern U.S.
  • Employment Type: Full-Time
  • Salary: $110-$130 base (plus commissions)

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and realize growth within your designated territory.
  • Prospect, identify, and qualify new and existing large-scale cannabis growers as potential customers.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers within client accounts.
  • Conduct in-depth consultations to understand client needs and recommend the most effective cannabis-growing media solutions from our product portfolio.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment and resolving any client concerns.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, highlighting the benefits and value proposition of our products.
  • Stay current on industry trends, competitor activities, and new product developments within the cannabis-growing media market.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams (marketing, production, customer service) to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of regional and national sales strategies.
  • Collaborate in the sales forecast process.
  • Participate in trade shows and other commercial events.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in B2B sales, within the cannabis market industry.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • A network of established contacts within the North American cannabis industry.
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills with the ability to effectively influence buying decisions.
  • In-depth knowledge of the cannabis industry, particularly cannabis-growing media solutions.
  • A passion for the horticulture industry and a strong understanding of plant science is a plus.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce is a plus.
  • A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel throughout North America as required.
  • A bachelor’s degree in horticulture, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
