Account Manager – Seed Sales

M&F Talent is representing a family-owned seed company that is seeking an experienced and energetic Account Manager to support sales growth across a defined territory. This role will focus on building grower relationships, managing territory performance, expanding seed sales, and supporting long-term customer satisfaction.

The Account Manager will work closely with regional sales leadership and agronomy team members to execute the company’s sales strategy, develop new business, and strengthen relationships with growers across the assigned market.

  • Territory: To be determined with the team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Call on growers throughout the assigned territory, including prospecting, cold calling, delivering presentations, and closing sales.
  • Build and maintain positive long-term business relationships with customers.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through responsive communication and strong account management.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, sales managers, and company leadership.
  • Develop and deliver formal proposals and presentations that address grower needs.
  • Analyze market conditions, competition, industry trends, challenges, and sales opportunities.
  • Create and execute a territory business plan focused on customer retention and growth.
  • Utilize company sales tools and platforms, including CRM, SeedWare, MyFarms, and related sales systems.
  • Assist sales managers with training new hires, interns, and team members as needed.
  • Support additional sales, customer service, and territory management duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education degree required.
  • Experience in seed sales, agricultural sales, agronomy, or a related agricultural field preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build trust and maintain productive relationships with growers.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage a territory independently.
  • Comfortable using technology, CRM platforms, and sales management tools.
  • Ability to take direction, provide input, and collaborate with sales leadership.
  • Positive attitude, coachable mindset, and willingness to continue growing professionally.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to follow through on customer and territory goals.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. required.
