M&F Talent is looking to fill a Cannabis Tech Sales Manager Job for a client offering cannabis business data solutions. The successful candidate will play a fundamental role in developing the strategy (market segmentation, prospect prioritization, branding & messaging) as well as tactics (scripts, one-pagers, demos, drip campaigns, workflows) to achieve our client’s ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. This is a full-time position working remotely within the cannabis ancillaries vertical.

The ideal Cannabis Tech Sales Manager job candidate has a bachelor’s degree, 4+ years of selling software solutions, and experience selling in the cannabis industry. Our cannabis recruiting team feels this opportunity requires more enterprise sales experience than seen with most cannabis jobs.

Location: Colorado (Remote Work)

Cannabis Tech Sales Manager Job Responsibilities:  

  • Achieve monthly sales and/or channel goals as assigned by management
  • Develop new business within a specified territory and or vertical market(s)
  • Maintain and expand your database of prospects within your assigned territory or vertical market(s)
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by understanding needs and communicating effectively to our team
  • Proactively develop upsell opportunities with existing accounts
  • Create strategy, materials, and processes to achieve sales goals
  • Maintain and improve quality results by following standards; recommend improved policies and procedures
  • Document communications, notes, workflows, and best practices
  • Track all client interactions within our CRM
  • Manage KPIs within the CRM and present progress to CEO
  • Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team
  • Manage recruiting, onboarding, objectives setting, coaching, and performance monitoring of sales representatives
  • Cannabis Tech Sales Manager job requires up to 30% travel
  • Explain the compatibility of METRC and other seed to sales software


Cannabis Tech Sales Manager Job

  • 4+ years of direct software sales experience
  • Demonstrated ability to generate net new customers with strong desire to WIN
  • Strong phone presence and experience dialing dozens of calls per day
  • Successful previous experience as a sales representative or sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets (please be specific)
  • Committed to continuous education through workshops, seminars, and conferences
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization and all levels of data sophistication
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
  • Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent
  • Experience with the cannabis industry
  • Enterprise software sales; high end professional consulting sales accepted
  • Channel management experience with cannabis companies
  • Experience working with HubSpot
  • Experience in the hemp and cannabis business
  • Comfortability working in a cannabis startup
